FIT Students/Members/Guest/Staff:

We are so pleased to announce the reopening of FIT facility on Thursday, July 2, 2020 as allowed per the Road Ahead timeline from the Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS).  Because keeping our members safe  is as important to us as we welcome you back to our  facility, we will have certain protocols in place as recommended by the Association of Fitness Studios (AFS) and the CCHS.  It is important that we follow key safety principles and build a culture of awareness to keep our clients and staff fit and healthy.

Note, per the CCHS, "In light of rapidly increasing case numbers and hospitalizations, anticipated re-opening dates may need to be postponed. Our community’s actions are more important than ever to stop the spread."

We thank you for your patience during these challenging times.  Please visit our website frequently as there may be updates based on member feedback and government mandates.

MANDATED PROTOCOLS

  • Equipment/Facility will be sanitize before and after each class.  This will include wiping down of the bags, equipment, and floor before and after each class.

  • There will be a facility evacuation session (15 minutes) to accommodate the sanitizing process between class.  We ask that all students/parents clear the facility at this time.  Please refer to the new schedule which is effective starting Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

  • Parents are asked to wait outside the facility while your child is attending class.

  • There is a required check in process for each class.

  • Masks must be worn during classes.

  • Everyone must have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility and will only be allowed to enter with a temperature reading of less than 100.4 degree F.

  • A maximum of 12 students will be allowed in each class.  Fitness Kickboxing student may double up only as class size allows and as second priority to students who have not had a session that day.  Note, Fitness Kickboxing students, we are in the process of establishing a way how you can sign up for a session and see the attendance status for each class.

  • Class exercises will be programmed to avoid close person to person  interaction.

  • Practice a minimum physical distance of 6 feet or more at all times.  Markers will be placed on the floor to indicate where students need to position themselves during class.  It is important to follow this  throughout the class to ensure the 6 feet minimum distance.

  • Hands must be cleansed thoroughly using the available hand sanitizer dispensers before and after class.

CHECK IN PROCESS

  • All persons must have their temperature checked prior to entering the facility.  A staff member will be outside taking temperature readings to ensure that you have a temperature reading of less than 100.4 degree F.

  • Hands must be cleansed thoroughly using the available hand sanitizer dispensers as soon as you enter the facility.

  • Again, parents are asked to wait outside the facility while your child is attending class.

  • We ask that anyone experiencing the following symptoms to not enter the facility for the safety of all members/students.
